French Neurogastroenterology Meeting 2025

The 2025 French Meeting of Neurogastroenterology was held in Rouen on the 26th and 27th of June. It was a huge success, welcoming 206 attendees from various disciplines, including researchers, medical professionals, students, and neurogastroenterologists.
The day before, a symposium on rare digestive diseases such as CIPO and gastroparesis was organized by Dr Guillaume Gourcerol.
The meeting had the great pleasure of inviting the Belgian Society of Neurogastroenterology, featuring four outstanding speakers: Sebastien Kindt presented the Belgian consensus on FD, Lucas Wauters spoke about the pathophysiology of FD, Guy Boeckxstaens addressed the role of mast cells in IBS, and Jan Tack introduced the Rome Foundation and its projects.
A symposium highlighted endoflip/esoflip technology, OIC, refractory gastroparesis, xyloglucan, and pea protein association. The scientific programme included oral communications from young researchers and covered topics such as SIBO, FODMAP, belching, IBS, new generation probiotics, CBT, biofeedback, the enteric nervous system in Parkinson’s disease, and refractory constipation.
The meeting also included the popular peristalquizz, featuring questions on neurogastroenterology and more. Fabien Wuestenberghs received the Biocodex Prize for his research on the microbiota.
The next meeting will take place in Rouen on June 25 and 26, 2026.
