IPODD is a EU-funded research project that deals with "Intestinal proteases as targets for drug development" in inflammatory bowel diseases. Among others, IPODD has received EU funding to organize summerschools for young investigators in 2009 and 2010.
The 2009 Summerschool will be held at
Schloss Hohenkammer, near Munich airport starting April 19th (Sunday) and finishing April 24th (Friday), 2009. Another summerschool will be held in 2010.
A group of 25 post-doc students at their early career will be accepted in 2009, but the ratio between basic science and clinical fellows will be balanced, and the organisers would like to specifically encourage young investigators from the new EU member states, and would like to see candidates from as many EU and non-EU countries as possible.
The 5-day Summerschool will comprise 5 days of frontal teaching by the IPODD faculty (see webpage:
www.ipodd.eu) intermingled with group work, presentation of own research, and social events. Registration fee will be € 500 for academics and € 1000 for participants from the industry. This fee will include accommodation and meals, but specific arrangements can be made upon request. For previous Neurogastro Summerschool experiences, see
www.esnm.de.
Registration for the Summerschol will go through the website
www.ipodd.eu and will be opened soon. Please send an email to
paul.enck@uni-tuebingen for pre-registration and further information.
