The fourth Joint International Neurogastroenterology and Motility Meeting of the American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society, the Functional Brain-Gut Research Group, the European Society of Neurogastroenterology and Motility, and the International Group for the Study of Neurogastroenterology and Motility was held August 26-29, 2010 in Boston, Massachusetts. The speakers discussed cutting-edge research which focused on disease mechanisms, diagnosis, and treatment of disorders involving gastrointestinal neuromuscular function, sensation, psychosocial aspects, brain-gut interactions, and ingestive behavior and its control and treatment. The conference provided a forum for the presentation, discussion and debate of translational and clinical research in the area of neurogastroenterology and motility, and functional gastrointestinal disorders so that physicians and health care professionals diagnosing and managing patients in this area were able to draw on the latest evidence-based methods for promoting effective patient outcomes.
The third Joint International Meeting of Neurogastroenterology & Motility was successfully held in Chicago, USA, from August 26-30, 2009.
The second joint international meeting of Neurogastroenterology & Motility was successfully held in Lucerne, Switzerland, from November 6-9, 2008. The active involvement of investigators with novel findings and fresh ideas in the program was the top priority of the scientific committee. This was rewarded by a record number of abstract submissions & registration figures. In addition to 60 oral presentations, ample time has been reserved for poster rounds and discussions about nearly 400 poster presentations. The four-day meeting attracted more than 800 registrants from 45 different countries from around the world, and was clearly a very prominent meeting for many international experts. ESNM would like to express its deepest gratitude to the great organisational efforts of Prof. Michael Fried, Dr. Mark Fox, and Dr. Radu Tutuian!
The first joint international meeting of the European (ESNM), the American Neurogastroenterology Societies (ANMS) and the Functional Brain-Gut Research Group (FBG) was held in Boston, Massachusetts, from September 14th to 19th, 2006.
